Postdoctoral Researchers
We welcome applications from highly motivated postdoctoral researchers at any time. Exceptional candidates are strongly encouraged to apply for the Shuimu Tsinghua Scholar Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, which provides competitive salary and independent research support. Our former postdocs have successfully secured faculty positions at leading universities, including Jilin University, Beihang University, and Harbin Engineering University.
PhD Students
We typically admit 1–2 PhD students each year. Prospective students usually reach out in the spring semester, followed by the summer camp in July and the recommendation-based admission interview in September. Our alumni have achieved outstanding success in both academia and industry—including postdoctoral positions at top overseas universities, faculty positions at 211 universities, research scientist roles at leading institutions, and positions at major technology companies.
Undergraduate Research Interns
We encourage Tsinghua undergraduates to join our group for research internships via email. Interested students are recommended to first complete the TIC course (Nano-Optics track, Weixian College) and the Exploration & Practice course (Nano-Optics track, Weiyang College). Our undergraduate researchers have received prestigious funding including the Beijing Natural Science Foundation and the National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program, won first prize in the Challenge Cup competition, and published first-author papers in journals such as ACS Photonics. Outstanding undergraduates may continue for PhD studies in our group or be recommended for graduate programs at top universities abroad—our members have gone on to Yale, UC Berkeley, and other leading institutions.
Visiting Students & Scholars
We also support visiting students and scholars from overseas and other domestic institutions. Tsinghua University offers corresponding fellowship programs for visiting scholars. For details, please contact Prof. Yang directly via email.
