Welcome to the Meta-Optics Group at Tsinghua University. Affiliated with the Department of Precision Instrument, we are based in Beijing, China.
AI systems are outgrowing the cameras that feed them: high-performance vision still relies on bulky optics, while intelligent machines need sensors that are compact, efficient, and natively computational. We close this gap with meta-optics and minimalist multidimensional imaging—encoding light at the subwavelength scale and co-designing optical front-ends with end-to-end neural decoding. Our vision is an AI-native sensing stack for next-generation machine vision and embodied intelligence.
Prospective PostDocs, PhD students, and research interns are encouraged to review the Openings page before applying.
